In an effort to promote road safety in Guatemala, a group of 78 municipal traffic police officers will be trained by experts from the Road Education Section of the Traffic Department of the National Civil Police (PNC) to obtain their instructor certification of road education.
The head of the PNC Traffic Department, Jhonatan Hernández, highlighted the importance of road safety education and knowledge of the Traffic Law to address the challenges that citizens face on public roads.

During this process, police officers will strengthen their knowledge on various topics related to road safety, including road signage, road accident data analysis, social communication, information collection, results-based management, and basic aspects of road instruction, among others. others.
Other formations
This year, other trainings are scheduled to fully cover the 80 municipal traffic police authorized in the country. These will take place on March 5 and 6 in Gualán, Zacapa; April 3 and 4 in Quetzaltenango; and April 25 and 26 in Escuintla. The goal is to certify 300 agents in driver education.
