Palakkad (Kallattikod)∙ A father and daughter met a tragic end when a bike and a scooter were put together in Shiruvani while sitting on the national highway. Edakurshi T.A. The deceased have been identified as Mohanan (51), who runs a VVM store in the complex, and Mohanan’s daughter Varsha (22), who was traveling on a scooter. Vishnu (24), son of Vettikattil Kannan, a native of Kallaticode Melemath, who was riding the bike, and another person who was with him were injured.
Mohanan died on the way to the hospital. Her daughter Varsha, who was seriously injured, was admitted to a private hospital in Perinthalmanna. Varsha also died around 6 pm. The bike coming from Kalladikode hit the scooter. They fell on the road and were rushed to the hospital by locals. Mohan’s wife Beena (Nurse at Pombra Health Center) and another daughter: Vandana.
