Huawei allows users of older smartphones from both the Huawei and Honor brands, totaling 12 models, to register to receive the Public Beta software update of the HarmonyOS 4.0 operating system.

- Huawei Nova 5 Pro

- Honor 20 Pro
- Honor V20
- Honor Magic 2
For Huawei P30, Mate 20 and Nova 5 Pro smartphones, the base version must be 3.0.0.168 (or 3.0.0.170 for Mate 20X 5G), while Honor smartphones should run on build number 3.0. 0.165 to get HarmonyOS 4.0 Public Beta installed.
