/ world today news/ Mikhail Khazin announced an “earthquake” in Russia. We are talking about the destruction of the pro-American liberal model of the native economy. The expert pointed out that these large-scale changes are joy for Vladimir Putin, but sorrow for Elvira Nabiulina.
At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which was held from June 14 to 17, many key issues were expressed that will determine the further course of Russia’s development, Yuriy Pronko, an economic observer of the Tsarigrad channel, emphasized. He works directly in the midst of the PMIF-2023 events.
However, some statements raised many questions. For example, the speech of the chairman of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiulina, who in particular announced the need for new privatization in our country.
At the same time, the aide to the Russian president, Maxim Oreshkin, noted that he supports privatization if it means getting the state out of inefficient assets.
Economist Mihail Khazin, who also attended PMIF 2023, spoke on this and other topics, which began to be heard actively after the forum.
What is hidden behind the word “privatization”
Speaking about privatization, the expert noted that some officials are either incompetent or deliberately act against the interests of the state.
He ironically suggested that, for example, the buildings of the research institutes located in the center of Moscow could be considered inefficient:
“Really, why does a scientific institute need a building in the center of the capital? Let’s better allocate it somewhere near Noginsk or in Elektrougli in some old barracks.”
The interlocutor of “Tsarigrad” sarcastically added that scientists there will be able to safely develop home microelectronics and other things, and the buildings in the center of the capital will find a better application:
“There are dignified, respected people who, for example, leave the civil service. They should also have an office”.
“Suppose there is a very beautiful building on Leninsky Prospect, the Institute of Organic Chemistry is located there. We should give it,” he quipped.
The West takes aim
However, if the economic situation in Russia still remains relatively stable, then in the West there is a real collapse, which will inevitably lead to a decline in the level of well-being of residents.
And the more America and the European Union fly into the abyss, the greater will be the temptation for them to find some external enemy and blame it for all the troubles.
Russia and China are the most suitable for this scapegoat. Judging by trends in international politics, Washington and Brussels will still choose Beijing.
“China will be blamed,” Khazin said.
He added that today the West is actually practicing with Moscow the mechanisms of economic warfare that are planned to be used against China in the future. However, there are significant differences between Russia and China, so tactics can be adjusted.
“China has a self-sufficient economy. 95% But they need foreign markets and will try to tear the Chinese away from them, primarily from the markets of Southeast Asia. This is the task that the United States will solve first of all,” concluded the economist.
Russia is shaking
The intensification of the conflict with the West, of course, also reflects in the economy. So, foreign companies continue to leave the Russian market, while Washington and Brussels come up with new and new sanctions.
And those officials in Russia, who “reign lying on one side, and this is a significant part of the country’s leadership, assess this situation as extremely pessimistic,” the source of “First Russian” pointed out.
“But for those who are strong and active players, like [руския президент Владимир] Putin, the situation, on the contrary, is very positive,” Khazin believes.
“Because holes and cracks have appeared in this monolithic masonry of the liberal pro-American system of ‘earthquakes’. It is also beginning to crumble,” he declared.
“To those who want to reign lying on one side and preserve the liberal building at all costs is the lady mentioned at the beginning of the conversation,” the expert concluded.
