After a meeting on Wednesday, the Bremen supervisory board decided on the current head of the licensing department.

Fritz played for Bremen for eleven years during his active career, ending his career in 2017. Until last year he was also head of the scouting department in Bremen.

Fritz was considered the clear favorite to succeed Baumann, who is stepping down as managing director after eight years.
