The Spanish automaker Cupra will launch the VZ, a sporty modification of its electric drive model Born.
VZ or Veloz (in Spanish – fast) – with such an addition in the name, Cupra just launched the flagship of the crossover line Formentor, equipping it with the Audi 390 Zs five-cylinder engine, but now the VZ modification will also be available for the electric small car Born.
In order to be called Veloz, Born is equipped with a 240 kW (321 hp) electric motor that develops 545 Nm of torque, helping to accelerate to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, while the top speed will be limited to 200 km/h – which is 40 km/h more than the standard model.
The Born VZ features a sport-tuned suspension and steering, bucket seats, an infotainment system with a new 12.9-inch screen, and a 425-watt Sennheiser audio system with ten speakers.
The price of the Cupra Born VZ has not yet been revealed, the internal combustion engine Cupra Formentor VZ costs at least 76,430 euros.
