Live process | Acid receives a three-month postponement and must pay 20,000 euros in compensation: “Money always wins”

Acid: “I would have preferred to see that 20,000 euros come to the account of Sanda Dia’s family”

Youtuber Acid, real name Nathan Vandergunst, reacts emotionally to the judge’s ruling. “This sucks, this will be on my criminal record, but I have no regrets.”

Acid was particularly impressed by the provisional compensation he must pay to the parents of an ex-Reuzegommer for lost income in their restaurant. “This is about 20,000 euros. Money that I would have preferred to see in the account of Sanda Dia’s family. But money always wins in Belgium.”

He does not yet know what the young YouTuber’s next steps will be. “The road to here was already very expensive, perhaps there is no point in filing an appeal and we should leave it at that.”

But Acid is very proud of what he has done: “I have spoken for society, for Sanda Dia, for his family. They are not going to undermine me.”

The YouTuber also says that a new video is coming, even though it is “a bit spent”.
