Free Anti-Rabies Vaccination for Pets in Rawson: Thursdays 10am-12pm

In this way, the General Directorate of Veterinary, Sanitation and Supply of the Municipality of Rawson informs the residents of the city that the tasks are carried out every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Anti-rabies vaccination is annual, free of charge. People should bring their pets to the area offices located on Avenida Libertad and Morel.

In this context, the person responsible for the area, Noelia Sánchez, recalled that “this Thursday, February 21, we will be carrying out the anti-rabies vaccination of pets that includes dogs and cats over three months of age and non-pregnant females.”

“The statistics regarding the month of January in the Directorate indicate that 113 anti-rabies vaccines have been administered to dogs and cats,” the municipal official reviewed.

He also referred to the importance of responsible pet ownership: “Neighbors should take into account the relevance of this vaccine that prevents rabies, a disease that has no specific treatment and that can be fatal for our pets.”

“Every Thursday we will be from 10 to 12 hours giving anti-rabies vaccines at the Veterinary offices, located on Avenida Libertad and Motel. Dogs – large in size – must be on a leash and muzzle, and if it is a feline, with a kennel, backpack or box,” he mentioned.

Finally, the official maintained that it is not necessary to have a patent for the administration of the vaccine.
