The General Directorate of Energy, Hydrocarbons and Mines confirmed an increase in fuel prices of up to fifteen cents on the dollar starting this Tuesday, February 20, which will continue until Monday, March 4.
According to information from Hydrocarbons, super gasoline will have an increase of eleven cents in all regions of the country and will be purchased at $4.22 in the center, in the west at $4.23 and $4.27 in the east of the country.
The gallon of regular fuel will have an increase of fourteen cents in the center and west of the country: In that sense, in the center it will be quoted at $4.00, in the west at $4.01, while in the east of the country the increase is of thirteen cents, so those from Usulután, Morazán, San Miguel and La Unión will have to pay $4.04.
Meanwhile, the gallon of diesel fuel will have an increase of fifteen cents in the west and center of the country. In the central zone you have to pay $4.08, in the central zone $4.09 and in the east of the country the increase is fourteen cents, so you will have to pay $4.12.
All motorists are recommended to buy gasoline or diesel where they are offered a better price.
