Earlier this week Liverpool had Alisson and Diogo Jota injured.

Now the injury problems seem to be growing.

Stars Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez are doubtful for the game against Luton.

Nine players are on Liverpool’s injured list ahead of the Premier League meeting against Luton today. Key players such as Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Jota, Szoboszlai and Thiago will all miss Wednesday’s game.

Now the two star strikers Salah and Nunez are also highly doubtful for the game after injuries they sustained in the weekend’s match against Brentford.

– Darwin felt something during the match and no one was near him when it happened. We take it day by day. We’ll see, says Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp about Nunez.

– It’s day to day with Salah too. It’s in the same area as his previous injury. We will see how it develops, says Klopp.

The national team captain confirms Alisson’s injury

One of the key players who is expected to miss a longer period of time is goalkeeper Alisson Becker. Now the new Brazilian national team captain Dorival Junior confirms for TNT Sports that the 31-year-old will be missing at their national team meeting.

The collection takes place starting on March 23, which means that the goalkeeper seems to be out for at least a few weeks.

Cup final on Sunday

Liverpool play an important match this coming weekend when the team meets Chelsea in the League Cup final. The club hopes to bring back one of their star players until then, perhaps above all big star Salah.

The Egyptian picked up an injury during the African Championships which kept him out until the match against Brentford at the weekend where he was substituted off the bench.

Liverpool currently lead the Premier League, one point ahead of Manchester City.
