The family of a young Cuban identified as Yosdavy Hernández Ozuna has requested help to find him, since he disappeared while he was near the border between Mexico and the United States waiting for an appointment scheduled through the CBP One application.

According to journalist Mario J. Pentón, the mother of the young migrant indicated that he had to go before an official from the Customs and Border Protection Office (CBP) last Friday, February 16 at 6 :00 am, but he never showed up.

The woman indicated through a video that she lost all contact with her son after he and a friend identified as José Iris Hernández left the airport in the city of Hermosillo, in Sonora, and got into a taxi.

Hernández Ozuna left the Island on September 19, with the aim of reaching the United States and requesting political asylum to obtain a better quality of life. He wanted to give a better future to his family, including his daughter, who was only two months old.

The young man’s family indicated that, like thousands of his compatriots, he remained stranded on the Mexican side until they confirmed that he could be treated by a CBP agent at the border.

“I ask you to please help me, I am a desperate mother, looking for my son, who has a two-month-old baby who needs her father and I, who am his mother, am going crazy,” said the young man’s mother.

His mother’s concern is due to the wide variety of problems that her son could have encountered while attending the appointment, because, while he could have run out of money, lost his cell phone or been the victim of a robbery, There is also the possibility that he has suffered an accident or has become a victim of organized crime.

Meanwhile, the case of Ailén Esquijaroza Leiva, a 29-year-old girl from Camagüey, who lost her life while waiting for her appointment with CBP agents.

“Today I want to make this publication with a pain in my soul. I would like it to be shared so that we can receive humanitarian aid. My sister-in-law, Ailén Esquijaroza Leiva, 29 years old, died in Mexico City waiting for her CBP One appointment, which was on February 9,” said Internet user Adiaris Martínez on that occasion.

According to information shared on social networks, the young woman was diabetic, a problem she had suffered since she was a child. In that sense, her brother indicated that on the night of January 27 she suffered a low blood sugar that ended up causing a heart attack.
