In recent years, the beauty industry has become bigger and bigger. According to the consulting company McKinsey, the market for beauty products will be valued at over 500 billion dollars next year.
Cosmetic procedures are also increasing worldwide, even among younger people. The actor and director Helena Bergström has never used botox and she thinks the development is sad.
– I was in a group and they said “but Helena, you can do something?”. It felt a bit like I hadn’t showered. That you would almost be ashamed to age for real? It is an incredibly tragic development, she says Economic Agency.
Löwengrip open for engagement
Entrepreneur Isabella Löwengrip is skeptical about recommending beauty procedures and does not want to advertise them. But at the same time, she is open about the fact that she herself had the procedure – something she previously thought she would refrain from doing.
– I probably had an idea to be like Helena Bergström. To be allowed to age, to be fresh and to be proud of it. But then I also realized that I might have botox in my forehead anyway because I’m in pictures all the time, says Isabella Löwengrip in Economic Agency.
