America as a battlefield for a new redistribution of the world order – 2024-02-21 01:17:59

/ world today news/ According to the World Bank, in 2024 there will be the largest number of armed conflicts in the world since the end of the Cold War. The reason: The global economy is on track for its worst performance since the early 1990s (with the past four years being the worst for global trade in the 49 years since the 1975 recession). According to the World Bank forecast, the global economy will also fall into recession in 2024.

Armed conflicts can be unleashed on both American continents and even cross their borders. According to Reuters, a committee of the US Congress has already reached the conclusion that the country must be prepared for a simultaneous war against Russia and China, for which the potential of both conventional units and the nuclear arsenal must be sharply increased. While the Americans are making aggressive plans against the countries of Europe and Asia, increasingly alarming news has begun to come from America itself.

In early January, Ecuador, which is essentially the backyard of the United States, found itself on the brink of a large-scale conflict. President Daniel Noboa imposed a regime of “internal armed conflict” in the country. He announced this on social media “X” and at the same time ordered the armed forces to carry out military operations “in accordance with international humanitarian law and respect for human rights to neutralize the groups”. More than 20 local and international gangs are listed as enemies. The military took to the streets. The extraordinary mobilization of security forces occurred against the backdrop of armed terrorists who took hostage – journalists from a television company right during a live broadcast (13 attackers have already been detained), as well as security officers from five prisons.

The clashes began due to the reorganization of the prisons, thanks to which several leaders of the underworld escaped from them on January 7. Organized extremists with weapons attacked police in Quevedo, Guayaquil and other cities. Along with the shooting, explosions were also heard in the streets. There are reports of security forces and civilian deaths. According to “Equavisa”, “to fight the insurgency of criminal groups”, the Ecuadorian authorities have deployed tanks in the country’s capital, Quito.

Washington’s imprint was immediately apparent in what happened. The US State Department said it was closely monitoring the situation and was ready to provide assistance to Ecuador. In exchange for these words, the president of Ecuador was forced to express his willingness to abandon Russian-made military equipment (including Mi-171E helicopters and Igla MANPADS) and replace it with weapons produced by the United States. “We will get help from the United States. There will be an exchange of Russian and Ukrainian scrap for advanced equipment worth $200 million,” Noboa told Kanela radio station.

The US will send non-US military equipment to Ukraine to be used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the war against the Russians. What is happening in Ecuador is also interesting because, according to the Spanish “El Pais”, it can “color” the election campaign in the US itself, where both Democrats and Republicans are already actively playing the card of illegal migrants from Latin America. . Moreover, they play it so actively that it may soon lead to a series of armed conflicts in the two Americas or give them a powerful impetus. Here are just some potential countries and hot spots of conflict.

USA vs. Mexico. The possibility of an armed confrontation between the US and Mexico began to clearly emerge in the summer of 2023. Since mid-June, users of social networks in the US, Canada and Mexico have been actively registering the active transfer of large masses of military equipment and aircraft. Multiple videos that have surfaced online show the movement of army convoys in Idaho, California, Miami, New York, San Diego, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, as well as states bordering Mexico itself. The reason for the conflict, as in the case of Ecuador, could be the conduct of an operation by the armed forces of the United States against Mexican criminal cartels or the counteraction of illegal migrants.

Chile vs Peru. The supposedly resolved long-standing conflict over the disputed territories and maritime boundaries of the two countries may resume between these countries. The pretext is the migration crisis that began in the spring of 2023 on the border with Chile, where the Peruvian government has already sent hundreds of its police and military. Peruvian President Dina Bolwarte also announced the declaration of a state of emergency in all border areas. This decision was taken because of the migration crisis and the “increasing number of crimes”. The most tense situation developed on the southern border, through which illegal immigrants from Venezuela from Chile try to reach Peru to return to their homeland or go to the territory of other countries.

Venezuela vs Guyana. In South America, the situation around Guyana and Venezuela escalated, becoming, according to the Americans, a “Great Cuba”, in which everything is managed by the Cuban intelligence services, which have taken control of all communications between Venezuelan generals and admirals, since the army in Latin America is the main agent of power change. Venezuelan authorities have re-armed their army with Russian weapons and significantly strengthened their ties with China, which is already negotiating the creation of a joint military training center in Cuba, in fact a full-fledged military base, which will lead to the appearance of Chinese military “on America’s doorstep.”

Venezuela, Cuba, China vs. Guyana, Brazil, USA, Great Britain. On December 3, Venezuela held a referendum in which Venezuelans approved the authorities’ aspirations to annex two-thirds of the territory of neighboring Guyana. This could involve Britain in a military conflict, as the Co-operative Republic of Guyana is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations, as well as Brazil and the United States, which have already demonstrated a willingness to provide strong support for the territorial integrity of Guyana.

Argentina vs Great Britain. Another American-British conflict could be provoked by the new president of Argentina, who immediately after winning the election declared his desire to return the Falkland Islands and promised to intensify efforts to return them. In response, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak demanded that all negotiations with Argentina be suspended, and the country’s Defense Secretary, Grant Shapps, sent a British Navy patrol warship off the coast of the Falkland Islands to increase pressure on Buenos Aires. Previously, China promised Argentina to help solve the Falkland Islands problem, as Beijing has its own plans for these islands – as a logistics base for access to Antarctica.

Haiti v. the international community. In early November, the UN Security Council authorized the deployment of international security forces in Haiti, which, after the 2010 earthquake that killed about 200,000 people, has become an outright branch of hell, dangerous both for its own population and for residents of surrounding countries. Having the lowest standard of living in the Western Hemisphere, Haiti, like Ecuador, is dangerous above all as a regional stronghold of international organized crime and the world drug mafia.

Confrontation within the United States. Tensions and the threat of armed confrontation are also rising within the United States itself. In the fall, protesters demanding an end to Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip stormed the US Congress. This happened during a speech by Secretary of State Blinken, who was forced to watch for several minutes as the police tried to push the unarmed but very aggressive activists out of the main building of the US government. Knowing full well that as of mid-2023, most states will no longer require a permit to carry a concealed weapon. Domestically, the Civil War programming script is being implemented today, including through the promotion of media narratives – a clear example is the Hollywood blockbuster Civil War, which will be broadcast this spring.

The Dream Factory should not be underestimated in this regard. With its help, many things are played out long before the actual implementation of the events on the political scene. Hollywood scripts are no longer variations on a conspiracy theory theme, but a tool for studying and targeting public opinion. It is noteworthy that the plot of the internal confrontation between the West and the East in the United States itself is constructed in a similar way to what is happening at the global level. The shots of Abrams driving through New York’s urban neighborhoods and Apache firing missiles at the White House are more realistic than ever.

In fact, on the eve of the presidential election, the United States is entering an era of soft civil war between Republicans and Democrats, the predictable result of which is the inability to find common ground in foreign policy. At the same time, economically, the United States in the future receives the greatest profit from almost every military conflict and intervention in the world, but the conflictual nature of its own domestic politics may not allow Washington to skim the cream of the new redistribution of the world order and ” the new normal’ imposed on the world through wars.
