The National Civil Police (PNC) reported the capture of Javier Ernesto Paula Marroquín, 24, who faked his own kidnapping in the department of La Libertad.
According to reports, this young man was a cashier at a hotel on El Tunco beach and stole $3,600, but to hide his crime, he pretended that some hooded individuals had deprived him of his freedom and for that reason he was forced to hand over the money.
In addition, they pointed out that to achieve his goal, the young man inflicted blows on different parts of his body to make it seem like everything was real.
Subsequently, the authorities received the complaint and intelligence agents conducted an investigation, where they determined that the version provided by Marroquín was false, since, upon reviewing it, they found $600.
In this way, in the investigations it was identified that the rest of the money had been deposited in his bank account, therefore, the young man will be sent for simulation of a crime.
