On Saturday, it’s time for Danny Saucedo, 38, to compete in Melodifestivalen with the song “Happy That You Found Me”. It is the fifth time he has participated.
Since last time, the artist and his girlfriend, the model Anna Eriksson, 28, have become parents for the first time.
In an interview with Titti Schultz in “P4 Gästen”, Danny Saucedo talks about his two-month-old son’s unusual name Nahuel.
In Sweden, 155 adults have Nahuel as their first name.
– It was Anna who heard the name when she was out traveling in South America and when she said it, it just felt “yes, how nice”.
Danny Saucedo says that the couple had a long list of names – but that they were mostly girls’ names. They did not find out that they were expecting a boy until later in the pregnancy.
The artist has long dreamed of becoming a father and tells us that it is “unbelievable” to be one as well.
– Patience is something I have to practice all the time, he says in the interview.
Danny Saucedo has big plans for his son, one thing becomes most important.
– I will try to screw him up as little as possible, but above all I just want to create a sensible person who will eventually say, Dad, you don’t understand. And then I think I have done the right thing. Someone who takes it further, my roof will be his floor.
“I haven’t scratched once”
When Anna Eriksson gave birth to her son, Danny Sacuedo was by her side.
– It’s an incredible moment, personally for me, to see the person you love do this process that then results in another person that you have to love to death, it’s so strange and it’s so very personal and private, powerful.
But now he will take on the Melodifestivalen – again.
– I haven’t scratched once, says Danny Saucedo in “P4 Gästen” and laughs.
He tells us that he has no choreography this time – he’s always hidden behind what he describes as spex – now he wants to try something different.
