The success is total for Sarah Sjöström at the WC in Doha.
On Sunday, she won her second straight gold in the championship. The superstar won the final in the 50 meter freestyle.
– It is fantastic. Extra nice to feel that I’m doing what I’m supposed to, even though the girls are fast next to me, says Sjöström in SVT.
Dramatic race
The winning time was 23.69. Fourth fastest ever. Sjöström himself has been responsible for the five best times and has the world record of 23.61.

The final of the 50 meter freestyle was, after all, dramatic. Both second-placed Kate Douglass, USA, and third-placed Katarzyna Wasick, Poland, were under 24 seconds.
– I knew it would be tough. All the girls are under 24 seconds… Great to have the opportunity to compete against this opposition for next year, says Sjöström, who will compete in the Olympics in Paris.
On Saturday, she took gold in the 50 meter butterfly. This is the third world championship in a row that she has won both disciplines.
Michelle Coleman finished last in the 50m freestyle final.
