Xavi Simons is probably in his final months at RB Leipzig. Paris Saint-Germain will bring the Dutch international back to the Parc des Princes after the departure of Kylian Mbappé, it is known in Germany.

RB Leipzig hoped to rent Simons from PSG for another season, but those plans will most likely go up in smoke due to the upcoming mega transfer of Mbappé to Real Madrid. Rouven Schröder, sporting director of the Bundesliga club, already partly accepts that fate.
“Things are now going in the wrong direction for us,” Schröder said Sky. “At the end of the season, Simons will return to Paris.” The German is not yet raising the white flag. “We may have another chance to ask again in the summer.”

Simons (20) is one of the standouts at RB Leipzig this season. In 21 games he scored six goals and seven assists. PSG sees Simons as one of Mbappé’s successors. Victor Osimhen, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (both Napoli) and Rafael Leão (AC Milan) are also mentioned.
