Commenting on the situation in the Middle East, he said that the strikes by the US and Britain against Yemen were a violation of international law, and the UN had not given the US the right to launch such attacks. Solving the Palestinian issue requires the collective concerted efforts of the international community, but the US no longer uses multilateral international mechanisms to resolve such issues.
Regarding Ukraine, Lavrov said that the West’s attempts to strategically defeat Russia are untenable.
Lavrov also commented on Russian-American relations. “It is impossible for Russia and the United States to resume strategic security dialogue if the US focuses only on factors that affect its own interests.”
