Denmark gives all its artillery to Ukraine – 2024-02-18 09:01:50

A bribe not to go to the front

Denmark has decided to hand over all its artillery to Ukraine. This statement was made by the Prime Minister of the country, Mette Frederiksen.

According to Ukrinform, she said this during her speech at the forum in Munich. Frederiksen also called on other European countries to transfer their air defense equipment and ammunition to Ukraine, as it now needs them more.

Frederiksen noted that there is military equipment in Europe that is not being used, and it is worth handing over to Ukraine.

According to the Danish prime minister, European leaders often talk about the problems with the production of weapons, citing them as a reason not to increase aid supplies to Ukraine. They are currently opening new defense enterprises.

“But now Ukraine is asking us for ammunition and artillery. We, Denmark, have decided to hand over all our artillery to Ukraine. So excuse me friends, Europe has military equipment, it’s not just about production. We have weapons, ammunition, air defense systems that we are not using yet. They must be handed over to Ukraine,” the Danish Prime Minister emphasized.

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte commented on the upcoming transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine and stated that they may be more than expected: “There will be 24 fighters, maybe more, but not less… We are working together with the Danes and other countries,” said Mark Ruete.

At the same time, Czech President Petr Pavel said that Prague had found sources abroad for hundreds of thousands of artillery munitions that it could deliver to Ukraine within weeks. It is about half a million units of ammunition of 155 mm caliber and 300,000 units of 122 mm caliber.
