Two five-minute expulsions for Luleå.

Linköping took advantage of that – and won the grumpy meeting 3-1.

– We have talked about the playoffs starting already now, John Nyberg tells They run.

The match was messy with several disputed tackles and bloody situations.

It heated up the most in the second period, when Luleå’s Oscar Eklind received a match penalty after tackling LHC’s Vilmos Gallo in the back.

“Sunny fifth”

Gallo hit his head on the plexiglass and then lay on the ice before wandering into the locker room.

– Clear fifth, says Niklas Wikegård in TV4.

At the beginning of the second period, Luleå received another five-minute expulsion, but no match penalty, for boarding when Jesper Sellgren tackled Ty Rattie a bit from the edge.

– It’s not a huge blow from Sellgren. It will be a blow because he (Rattie) stops and loses his balance and goes into (the edge), says Wikegård.

Decided in five to three

In the subsequent five-on-three game, Filip Bystedt extended Linköping’s lead to 2–0. John Nyberg made it 3–0 after a solo performance.

– It’s the prettiest thing I’ve done, says Nyberg They run.

LHC eventually won 3–1.
