Additionally, Mary suggests keeping eggs away from strong-smelling foods, as they can absorb the odor. Experts share this approach.

“Temperature fluctuations can cause condensation to form on eggshells, which can encourage bacterial growth. Do not place eggs near the back of the refrigerator, where the temperature may be lower,” Jenna Kelly, a food safety expert, told the publication.
