Mango is a healthy food, but it is not suitable for everyone.
Today, mango with a pleasant sweet taste can be found in children’s food, smoothies, salads and desserts.
Mangoes contain precursors of vitamin A, vitamin C and group B vitamins, as well as potassium and magnesium. Mango also has nice fiber.
However, mango can also cause allergic symptoms.
According to the Allergy, Skin and Asthma Association, mango allergies are rare, but they can be severe. A mango allergy has a cross-allergy at least to latex.
According to a recent study, some proteins contained in mangoes can cause many types of allergic reactions. Even a life-threatening anaphylactic reaction is possible.

Kiwi and fig
If eating mangoes does not cause any harm, there is no need to avoid eating them.
Some fruits other than mangoes can cause severe symptoms and anaphylactic reactions.
For example, kiwi and pitaya are such fruits.
A serious allergic reaction to figs is possible, but very rare.
