Yesterday during the day of love had the long awaited film Bob Marley: One Love cinema premiere worldwide. To celebrate the film’s premiere and the legendary artist’s life has therefore Fear of God produced a special collection that focuses on the iconic image of Marley playing football in Jamaica.
The simple capsule collection consists of only one hoodie and one t-shirt in a beige/off-white colour, with the black and white photograph printed on the back. However, this is according to the FOG creator Jerry Lorenzo just the beginning of the collaboration between the brand and Marley’s estate, something he confirmed in the comments section of an Instagram post from Complex.
“A little seed and a glimpse of what’s to come…yes, designed for apparel etc and a deep story around Marley’s legacy from football and American football will be told thoroughly…we wanted to release a little capsule to celebrate the film today…well, every tribute to Bob Marley deserves a deeply nuanced collection, and it will come”writes Lorenzo.
