Diogo Ribeiro has a full schedule at the Doha World Cup this Friday, but he is already used to the latest competitions, as the 100 meter butterfly and 50 freestyle are on the same day as the program.

The 50 butterfly World champion starts competing at 6:49 am, where he will try to qualify for the semi-finals of the 100 butterfly, a race where he holds the 7th best entry mark (51.45, his national record). Around 40 minutes later, Diogo re-enters the water, now in the 50 freestyle, swimming in the same series as Miguel Nascimento: staying in the top 16 will be a tougher task, given the strong competition. Today is also the day for Camila Rebelo to swim her 200 backstroke, a distance in which she was 5th in the European short course (December). Tamila Holub will be in action in the 800 freestyle.

This Thursday, which had no Portuguese in action, the highlight was the triumph of Chinese Zhanle Pan in the 100 freestyle, but now without a world record.
