Cornelsen.ai: The New AI Toolbox for Teachers – Presented at didacta Education Fair in Cologne

Berlin/Cologne (ots) –

From the trainee teacher who wants support in preparing lessons to the technically experienced teacher who wants to use AI but doesn’t want to deal with data protection problems: The new AI toolboxcornelsen.ai will be presented as a beta version at the didacta education fair in Cologne and will be popular Everyone can immediately see how quickly and easily it can make everyday life at school noticeably easier.

“The extreme workload due to the shortage of teachers, the lack of support for lateral and lateral entrants or the increased heterogeneity in the classroom are just a few of the challenges that all teachers in Germany have to face,” says Christine Hauck, Chief Didactic Officer at Cornelsen. “With AI, we can support teachers, provide targeted relief and thus create more time for the individual support of students.”

As Cornelsen’s AI toolbox, Cornelsen.ai combines various AI applications that teachers can easily integrate into existing processes – with reliable content, in a GDPR-compliant framework and in a completely individual way. In the future, learners will also have access to cornelsen.ai through their teacher.

The online platform offers, among other things:

– Cornelsen GPT is the digital assistant for teachers. It creates, for example, to-do lists, supports communication with parents and gives advice on pedagogical and technical questions.
– The AI Material Designer uses specified learning objectives to create suitable and motivating teaching and learning material for various teaching phases, e.g. discussion occasions with a connection to real life, reading texts or tasks.

– The AI lesson planner provides suggestions for lesson sequences with and without textbook material and adapts them to the federal state, school type, grade level, subject, topic and competency goals as well as a specified period of time.
– The AI Feedback Assistant supports corrections, checks students’ texts and homework according to different categories and identifies topics that should be revisited in class.

And the AI can also help students directly in the afternoon when a teacher can no longer be on site. An AI tutor called KIM is already in development for the learning and tutoring portal Duden Learnattack, which is specially trained on school topics and offers quick support in chat format. The beta phase for the subject of mathematics is currently running and will be open for use by all interested parties in March 2024.
