Greek businessman Joachim Kalamaris told Nova TV the details of a case of extortion, racketeering and persecution by a group gravitating around the shot Martin Bojanov – the Notary.
“I was a mediator in a real estate deal. One of the interested parties is a Greek businessman who is buying a property for 25 million euros, and the other should have the money to be involved in the purchase. When the contract was concluded, I withdrew. In at one point a nefarious prominent fuel businessman tried to sabotage the project. He started negotiating with the co-investors of the property and was able to turn things around. They thought that instead of the Greek businessmen giving up, a pre-contract could be made and they be blackmailed,” he said.
According to him, the people involved in the criminal transaction are of Arab origin, have lived in Bulgaria for 25 years and have Bulgarian passports.
“Instead of having commercial cases, it is clearly cheaper to report to the prosecutor’s office, whose salaries are paid by the Bulgarian taxpayer. These Arabs join Martin Bojanov’s group. In my opinion, they are close to the businessman involved in fuels, since Bojanov and Petyo Petrov, nicknamed Euroto, are in the same camp. So anyone who wants to create a problem for a healthy business can turn to their lawyers. Such as Velimir Atanasov. He started filing reports against the Greek side of the deal and against me,” Kalamaris said.
And he added: “Velimir Atanasov and his infernal machine had no way of criminalizing the activities of intermediaries in Bulgaria, such as myself.”
Kalamaris understood that it was a racket when “accusations were brought and it became clear that the measures taken were more severe than those against people who committed murder.” “We had two measures – a cash guarantee of BGN 100,000, another for BGN 50,000, as well as a ban on leaving the country. This was the work of the right-hand man of the person Nevena Zartova – Borislav Georgiev, who is a deputy district prosecutor”, emphasized the businessman.
When asked if he thought that lawyer Atanasov used his contacts with Zartova so that the prosecution could put pressure on the Greek businessmen, Kalamaris stressed: “The prosecution can also send signals to other institutions, such as KPCONPI and DANS. The reverse is also true. Of course, Velimir Atanasov did this. I saw the face of Zartova walking around TV studios at a time when the Bulgarian taxpayer paid her salary. It is better that this lady sits and waits for justice. And don’t hide behind your immunity.”
Kalamaris was adamant that Zartova and Atanasov were “in a romantic relationship”, which the prosecutor denies. “She refutes the words of my partner and colleague. But I want to ask her, was she together with the person Velimir Atanasov on January 22, 2022 in Villa “Chinka” in one room? And if he wants, he can sue me for defamation or check from the hotel check-in. It’s time for these people to stop hiding. The entire judicial guild knows about the affair between Zartova and Atanasov. You can check how many appeals the lawyer has entered and how many have been successful. It’s about a 110% success rate of complaints filed by him”, Kalamaris is categorical.
