The New York Yankees continue to add names to their roster for their Major League Spring Training jobs by acquiring left-handed pitcher Clayton Andrews, who arrives from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for Nicaraguan right-hander Joshua Quezada.
The New York Yankees today announced that they have acquired LHP Clayton Andrews from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for RHP Joshua Quezada.
To make room on the 40-man roster, the Yankees have placed RHP Scott Effross on the 60-day injured list.

Clayton Andrews, 27 years old, arrives at the Bronx team looking to give a twist to his previous experience in MLB. The left-hander saw action in four games in four different stays with Milwaukee last year (his first year in the Majors), allowing 11 runs (10 earned) in 3.1 innings. He spent most of the season playing for Triple-A Nashville, where he went 6-0 with five saves and a 2.53 ERA in 48 appearances (one start).

Quezada, 19, made his professional debut in 2023 with the Yankees of the Dominican Summer League, where he had a 6-0 record and a 3.69 earned run average in 11 games (four starts).
