Grand Green Osaka (formerly Umekita Phase 2 Development Project) is a large-scale mixed-use development project underway on the site of a former freight yard in front of Osaka Station. “Umekita Green Place” will serve as the “gateway” facing JR Osaka Station in the “Grand Green Osaka” area, creating a plaza rich in greenery and a lively and relaxing space. The aim is to be an urban shopping center that supports a high-quality, enriched lifestyle for people who commute around JR Osaka Station, including office workers and visitors to the area. The company plans to open 20 stores.
1st floor: Easy-to-drop-in merchandise stores and take-out restaurants

The 1st floor is directly connected to the ground exit of Osaka Station (Umekita area), and serves as a transportation hub for the Umekita area “Grand Green Osaka”, and there are merchandise stores where station users who don’t have time can easily stop by, as well as the adjacent “Gran Green Osaka”. We will open a food store with a takeout menu that will please the users of Umekita Park.
2nd floor: Urban food court, cafes, etc.

The second floor, which is connected to JR Osaka Station by a pedestrian deck, is lined with reasonably priced urban food courts, cafes, and eateries that also serve take-out shops. It will be a place where surrounding office workers and visitors can casually drop by on a daily basis.

In preparation for the opening of Umekita Green Place, a pedestrian deck will be opened in September 2024 that will connect it to the existing Osaka Station direction (North Gate Building).
