Prince of Persia The Lost Crown was still liked by players, but Ubisoft’s new product did not become a very big hit. Managers’ new plans do not find widespread support among workers
Prince of Persia The Lost Crown was once again reminded, but the reason is not entirely playful. The fact is that the developers are not very happy with Ubisoft and have announced a strike.
The authors of Prince of Persia The Lost Crown from Ubisoft Montpellier were joined by colleagues from Ubisoft Paris and Ubisoft Annecy. The reason for the strike was dissatisfaction with the current level of wages.
As stated, the salary increase turned out to be lower than inflation. This trend has continued for two years in a row. The union tried to negotiate with the managers, but they did not achieve a positive result (for the workers). This comes amid claims in the financial report that Ubisoft’s results “significantly exceeded expectations.”
One of the Ubisoft Paris employees explainedWhat: “The strategy chosen by management aims to save 200 million euros over the next two years in production costs [т.е. в том числе и зарплат]. We challenge this strategy».
In Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, the developers presented an unconventional take on the franchise; it is a 2.5D metroidvania. Before the release, many online criticized the project, but those who played it were generally satisfied.
