ABIDJAN– The CAF Technical Study Group (TSG) has revealed its ideal composition for the Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Ivory Coast in 2023. This team has been carefully shaped, taking into account the performance of the teams who shone until the final stages of the tournament.
The exploits of host nation Ivory Coast in their quest for the title were fully honoured, with three of their Elephants selected in the team. If Aguibou Camara, author of an excellent competition with Guinea, had had a long career with the syli, there is no doubt that he could have claimed a place in this typical team of the tournament. Unfortunately, the Guineans were eliminated in the quarter-finals by DR Congo. Logically therefore, CAF did not retain any Guinean player.
