DENPASAR, BALIPOST.com – The creativity of the students at Cipta Dharma Denpasar Elementary School deserves a thumbs up. The reason is, thanks to their creative ideas and innovation in creating Cimint, Natural Lip Balm, they managed to win the Silver Prize at the Investor’s Day 2024 event in Bangkok, Thailand from 2 -6 February 2024.

A number of grade 5 and 6 students at Cipta Dharma Denpasar Elementary School consist of Advesta Mirahdhivya Priyaharsani, Luh Nyoman Wikania Putri Adidharma, I Made Juno Pangestu Wiraputra, Gede Satriya Putra Kusuma. When met at Café Bross 57, Renon, on Tuesday (13/2), Mirah and Wikania said that this lip balm is made from cinnamon and peppermint which function to moisturize the lips, brighten the lips, prevent chapped lips and ward off sunlight.

Peppermint has a cool aroma and taste, that’s why he uses these ingredients. Meanwhile, cinnamon has good benefits for dry lips and has an SPF above 15 so the risk of dry lips increases due to sun exposure. “Cimint has an SPF above 15, cheaper than the market. “This SPF is made from natural ingredients so the price is cheaper,” he said.

Mirah, who is also busy preparing herself for higher education, did not miss the opportunity when her sister informed her about a competition at the Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition (IPITEX). It didn’t take long, the preparations they made succeeded in winning the Silver Prize at the event which was attended by 25 countries.

The idea for making this lip balm was inspired by the tropical region of Bali which is prone to making lips dry and chapped. The ingredients that they often encounter, after searching on internet search engines, they find that they have great moisturizing properties.

He admitted that lessons at school did not cover much about these materials. However, due to their creativity and high curiosity, Mirah, et al found out for themselves about the ingredients in lip balm.

Cimint natural lip balm is made from cinnamon, peppermint, coconut oil, butter, bees and bees wax. Students who take part in extra dance at this school try out so that the product they create has the perfect composition.

After searching from various sources, it was finally discovered that cinnamon has an SPF content of 21.15. Finally, cinnamon became one of the superior ingredients.

Satriya and Juno added that they would develop product packaging to make it more attractive and create aroma variants that could attract people’s interest in buying. According to Satriya, being active in various activities at school and outside school, he can increase his experience and insight. He admitted that he was happy and proud to take part in this prestigious competition, especially as he could make Indonesia proud.

In the future, he and his friends will continue to share positive viruses in their environment so that every child has the mindset to continue moving forward. According to him, the enormous support from the school and parents really helps him in achieving his goals, so that all input and suggestions are always well received. (Adv/balipost)
