Bun Lu was the winner of the Medium Short Story category. Wang Nuonuo won Best Adaptation Potential and A Qué won Best Short Story. All three are young authors born after the 1990s.
A white paper on China’s online science fiction literature in 2022 was unveiled at the awards ceremony. It states that China has 42,000 new writers in the field, 72% of whom were born after the year 2000, and 70% are students or have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher. The white paper also notes that the number of online science fiction readers increased by 39.73% compared to 2021, with 70% of them being over the age of 30.
The Galaxy Awards were established in 1985 by the popular Chinese science fiction magazine Science Fiction World and first presented in 1986.
