It was Ole Andreas Sønstvedt (37) who was found dead on the farm in Løten.
Tuesday 13 February at 12:06 p.m
The 37-year-old man was reported missing on 12 January, but the police believe he was killed on New Year’s Eve or shortly afterwards.
The woman in her 40s who owns the farm has been charged with complicity in murder, after the police found the burnt remains on her property.
It’s the ID group The identification group (ID group) must establish identity when several people die at the same time in a plane, landslide, flood or ship accident or other disaster, and when an unknown body or remains of an unknown body are found . at Kripos, who have carried out the analyses.
– It is a great sadness to learn that a son and brother is gone, and shocking that it has happened in this way. At the same time, it is a relief to finally know. The family asks that the press respect that they want to grieve in peace, and take this to heart, says aid lawyer Heidi Ysen in a press release.
Names and photos are released in consultation with the next of kin.
Neighbor responded to bonfire
Sønstvedt and the woman have previously been lovers, but the police currently do not know what the status of their relationship was around New Year. The 37-year-old has been staying at the farm for a long time before he disappeared.
One of the farm’s neighbors has previously told VG that he reacted several times in the New Year that there was an abnormally large number of bonfires on the farm, in the area by a lavvo.
– It was often, and it was also at slightly odd times when it was dark, he says.
The neighbor was at home on New Year’s Eve, and says that there was nothing to indicate that there was a party on the farm.
– In any case, no fireworks were launched from the farm.
The police say that both the accused woman and Sønstvedt were at the farm on New Year’s Eve, and base this on both observations and technical findings. But how long and whether there have been others there, they do not yet know.
– We do not have an overview of exactly what has happened at this stage in the case. This is a puzzle that we are trying to get an overview of, said police attorney Liv Hilde Nytrøen.
They have been sailing the farm over several weeks. They currently do not have a clear crime scene, nor can they say anything about whether they have seized a suspected murder weapon.
– Trace protection has been carried out and sent in from several places on the farm which we believe are of central importance to the case, says Nytrøen.

On the other hand, the police have on several occasions carried out concentrated searches around the lavvo located on the property.
– I can confirm that a seizure has been made in the lavvo. We are still waiting for answers to several of these track tests, Nytrøen has previously told VG.
Asked why she didn’t report him missing
The woman has so far sat through two interrogations in the case for a total of 17 hours. She has strongly distanced herself from the murder charges against her, and defender Jens-Henrik Lien has previously stated that she is “shocked” by the findings on her farm.
In the interrogations, she has been asked, among other things, why she herself has not reported the man missing.
But neither the police nor defense attorney Jens-Henrik Lien want to go into details about what she has replied to this.
She has been remanded in custody until 23 February with a letter and visiting ban. The woman denies guilt, and her defense attorney has said she is “shocked” by the findings that have been made on her farm.
The lawyer for the man’s family, Heidi Ysen, tells VG that the family is shocked by the development and what they have learned so far in the case.
– They sincerely hope that the police will find out what has happened to brother and son. They wonder what really happened. Has he suffered? says aid lawyer Heidi Ysen to VG.
