Art critic Tarek El-Shenawy criticized the re-presentation of the movie A Nose and Three Eyes, which was shown in cinemas and starred Dhafer El-Abidine and Saba Mubarak.

Al-Shennawi said in an interview with the journalist Angie Anwar on the Heliopolis program, which was broadcast on ITC satellite channel, that the novel A Nose and Three Eyes by the writer Ihsan Abdel Quddus cannot be presented logically in the current time, because it will encounter a million problems, and that the film, in its new version, was made with a censorship concept. .

El-Shenawy explained that although society in the 1960s welcomed freedoms, now it has changed and become more strict, and therefore the film was subjected to the worst types of censorship, which is the censor inside the creative writer.

The art critic pointed out that in the mind of the film’s writer there was shame about the original novel, fear of censorship, and anticipation from society, so I call it the film “A Nose and Three Censors.”

El-Shenawy stressed that any comparison between the stars of the old and new movie “A Nose and Three Eyes” is unfair because the construction of the artistic work in a society with censorship is different from the circumstances of a movie in a free society.

Al-Shennawi described the performance of artist Salma Abu Deif as amazing, stressing that she is the only gain from this film.
