Furthermore, Santiago Rojas indicated that this will not be the only aid that will be delivered and announced that certain INDAP programs and instruments will be redirected to support those who have been affected.

Manuel Silva is a farmer from El Maitén, in the Christmas commune. Due to the fire that hit the commune he lost his winery, fences and trees. “In this difficult moment we are in, one is so grateful. Whatever it is, whatever comes, I appreciate it. The Government has behaved very well, I know that it is a big country and things are happening everywhere,” he indicated.

The aid was provided by the Regional Directorate of INDAP O’Higgins, headed by the regional director Braulio Moreno, whose team delivered on this first day a total of 41.8 tons of animal concentrate in support of 93 affected producers, among whom also 8 in the commune of Marchigüe, 19 from Pumanque and 1 from Lolol benefited.
