East OKU Regency Bawaslu Releases Campaign Demonstration Equipment (APK) During Quiet Period

Martapura – Starting from the calm period, East OKU Regency Bawaslu has begun releasing Campaign Demonstration Equipment (APK) for Pimilu participants throughout the Bumi Sebiduk Sehaluan area.

In releasing this APK, East OKU Regency Bawaslu directed 372 members.

Where, 372 members consist of 60 members of the District Panwaslu plus 312 members of Subdistrict or Village Supervisors (PKD).

Apart from that, 16 East OKU Transportation Department also assisted, one platoon of Satpol PP members, 20 TNI members and 20 Police personnel.

Before releasing the APK, East OKU Regency Bawaslu carried out a monitoring call with the Transportation Department, Satpol PP, Panwascam and PKD which was carried out at the East OKU Regency Bawaslu office.

Chairman of East OKU Regency Bawaslu, Sunarto SP, accompanied by the Parmas Prevention and Public Relations Supervisory Division, Bisri Mustofa, said that in this quiet period, APKs are no longer allowed to be installed.

So his party released APKs for both presidential candidates, legislative candidates for the DPR RI, DPD, Provincial DPRD and Regency DPRD.

“The implementation of the APK release has been carried out since yesterday and this is the second day. “Apart from physical APKs, APKs on Social Media must also be deleted,” he said when interviewed after the rally, Monday (12/02/2024).

It is said that during this quiet period election participants are no longer allowed to campaign. The reason is, the 2024 election campaign period which started from 28 November 2023 to 10 February 2024 has ended and we have now entered the quiet period before voting.

He also prohibited all political party leaders and election participants from carrying out gathering activities that lead to campaign activities.

“There is no longer any reason for political parties or election participants to hold activities leading to campaigns from 11 to 13 February 2024,” he stressed.

This has been regulated in Law number 7 of 2017 and PKPU number 15 of 2023.

During the quiet period, election participants are prohibited from carrying out campaign activities in any form.

“Apart from that, participants or campaign teams are prohibited from promising or giving compensation to voters to use their voting rights to vote for certain presidential and vice presidential candidates or legislative candidates,” he concluded.
