(Keystone-SDA) The Zurich cantonal police went to the airport on Monday afternoon. Two terminals were evacuated and the police removed an abandoned suitcase.

As a spokesman for the cantonal police told Keystone-SDA, the piece of luggage was harmless. The suitcase was reported to the police shortly after noon.

The cantonal police had previously confirmed a report of “20 minutes” about an operation in Terminal B. Terminal D was also evacuated. The abandoned suitcase was secured with a remote-controlled robot. Canton police released both docks around 5 p.m.

Because of the incident, there were minor delays on individual flights, as a media spokeswoman for Zurich Airport said when asked. However, there were no cancellations or major delays.
