After the exceptionally high number of calls last weekend, this weekend the 1830 telephone system of the family doctor’s primary care emergency room in the county of Pest and in other areas of the country was operating smoothly and quickly, the National Ambulance Service told MTI on Monday.
It was written that during the two days in Pest county, 1,626 calls were made to the emergency telephone number and that 1,015 patients, including 408 children, received appropriate care at the county’s 21 emergency locations. The national number of patients on call during the two days was 10,113.
They added: more than five hundred people called the new Pest county emergency number on the first weekend “for testing purposes”, this number was reduced by less than half this weekend.
According to the ambulance service, operational and patient traffic data will be continuously analyzed in the future in order to ensure that “the call-taking capacity of 1830 and the resources of the on-call care places always meet the needs of the patients”.
