The second half started like the first, with Ivory Coast pushing and Nigeria suffering. Twice, the Elephants came close to equalizing but came up against a very solid defense. In the 61st minute of play, it was a long shot from the Ivorian defender pushed back into touch, which offered the corner on which Franck Kessié equalized. The best action of the match came from Sébastien Haller, who volleyed a cross from the left but missed the target. The deliverance will come from the same Haller with another cross from the spinning Adingra, who will score the second Ivorian goal in the 81st minute of play.
Despite a final Nigerian push the score does not change and it is the elephants who win this CAN.
