SAGUENAY – Informatique Dépôt recently packed up. The electronic store formerly located on Harvey Boulevard moved a few days ago to the former bowling alley at the corner of St-Hubert Street in Jonquière. This new acquisition required $1.5 million in investment.
“These changes allow us to expand our space, going from 1,000 to 4,600 square feet. In addition, this initiative allows us to expand our inventory and diversify our activities. This investment is being made over several years, knowing that we are responding to a demand that is not met in the sector with regard to electronics,” explains Olivier Simon, director of the company Informatique Dépôt.
Some changes
Note that a space will be dedicated to UniRéso Télécom in the new Informatique Dépôt location. The regional telecommunications company will install a retail sales counter. Open to customers since February 4, Informatique Dépôt will eventually highlight this accomplishment of more than six months of work with several stakeholders.
“We have been welcoming customers for a few days, but we will still organize an event in the near future to highlight this move in the form of a happy hour,” he adds.
Olivier Simon emphasizes that the company will be running for a few more weeks. If it perceives that the volume of customers is significantly increasing, management will add staff to the team, already made up of six employees.
