/ world today news/ Representatives of the leadership of “THE LEFT!” met with the ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to our country H.E. To Hoang Long. They talked about the development of dynamics in the relations between the two countries and the resumption of decades of traditions in this direction.
During the meeting, Bulgaria’s help for the unification of Vietnam and its construction as a modern country was noted, as well as the fact that thousands of Vietnamese youth received their higher education in our country. At the moment, they occupy high management positions and make an outstanding contribution to the dynamic development of the state. It was the exchange in the field of higher education and the possibilities for its strengthening that was discussed. Focus was also placed on the economy, agriculture, tourism and health care, energy, in particular, the development of new nuclear capacities, and the possibilities for these areas to be the subject of more intensive interstate exchanges.
During the meeting, the visit of President Georgi Parvanov in 2009 and the exceptional benefit of the visit for both countries in the spheres of social, public and economic life were also discussed.
An agreement was reached to take steps and actions to establish a working relationship between “THE LEFT!” and the Vietnamese Communist Party. The editor-in-chief of the electronic publication “View Info” Rumen Petkov noted the increased interest of the Bulgarian audience in the processes and events in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The chairman of ABV Rumen Petkov extended an invitation to H.E. To Hoang Long to visit Pleven, which the ambassador readily accepted.
