After Ms. Snusk’s performance during Friday’s Mellogenrep, Melodifestivalen’s project manager Anders Wistbacka gathered together with the artist’s PR manager and several guards in a meeting.
An “incident” must have happened around the artist, but both SVT and the artist’s team were tight-lipped about what. Information later came that a drunken man had entered Ms. Snusk’s green room, which SVT later confirmed.
“Shocked and saddened”
Now the epa artist herself is commenting on the incident, via her PR manager Jessica W Sandberg. A man who did not belong to her team came first and sat down next to Miss Snusk, she says.
“When she then comes back to the lodges before her performance, we learn that the man sexually molested Fröken. We were, as you can understand, extremely upset. SVT immediately took this very seriously”she writes in a comment to Expressen.
Jessica W Sandberg does not want to comment on whether Miss Snusk has or will report the incident to the police.
After the incident, Ms. Snusk was “shaken and sad”, writes Jessica W Sandberg, but was still able to carry out the retraining.
SVT: “No lack of security”
Anders Wistbacka, project manager for Melodifestivalen, says in a comment that what happened is “unacceptable”. The person in question would not have been in the green room at the time, according to him.
“But there was no lack of security as the person had the correct accreditation to be there. This was a shortcoming in the editorial work that we have corrected”he says.
SVT’s security staff acted immediately and the person lost his accreditation and had to leave the arena, according to Anders Wistbacka.
Nor does SVT want to comment on a possible police report.
