The course of the match in key 2 of the CONMEBOL – Copa Libertadores 2024 tournament was in the hands of a single score by Aurora, which secured its 1-0 victory against Melgar at the Félix Capriles stadium. It was Martín Alaniz who scored the goal for Aurora in the 46th minute of the first half.
The best player of the match was Martín Alaniz. The Aurora midfielder scored 1 goal, made 24 key passes, stole 2 balls and looked for the opponent’s goal twice.
Nelson Amarilla was also key. The Aurora defender had a good level by clearing 5 dangerous balls.
The match was highlighted by a lot of friction and constant fouls that interrupted the game. There were several reprimands: Alexis Arias, Amílcar Sánchez, Kenji Cabrera, David Robles. Kenji Cabrera was sent off after receiving his second yellow card, in the 87th minute of the second half.

Paulo Zanovelli da Silva was the referee who directed the match at Félix Capriles.
The victory achieved this Wednesday allows Aurora to arrive with some peace of mind to face Melgar next Wednesday, February 14, in the match that will define the passage to the Second Phase.
