US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was again taken to a hospital in Washington on Sunday after “symptoms consistent with a bladder problem”. The Pentagon reports this.
Austin had returned to work at the ministry since January 29. Previously, he had worked from home for several weeks after a hospital admission. There was a lot of fuss about that hospitalization, which Austin had not reported to President Joe Biden and Congress, the US parliament.
In December, Austin underwent surgery for prostate cancer. Following complications, the defense minister was admitted to hospital for treatment on January 1. Austin did not inform the White House of his admission until January 4, and Biden did not learn about his prostate cancer diagnosis until January 9.
