“Economic and trade cooperation is the ballast and engine of China-Africa relations,” commented Jiang Wei, an official of China’s Ministry of Commerce at a press conference yesterday, where the latest official data on the matter was presented.
China’s State Council has approved a general plan to build a China-Africa Deep Economic and Trade Cooperation Pilot Zone, which will serve as a competitive platform to enhance opening-up and partnership with African countries. This will promote the transformation and upgrading of bilateral economic and trade cooperation, which in turn will bring real results in raising the living standards of the peoples of China and Africa.
