/ world today news/ Thanks to the support of the “Scientific Research” fund at the Ministry of Education and Culture, the monograph “Touches to the Image of Alexander Bozhinov” is presented in Venice. The book presents the “father” of political cartooning in our country, systematizing facts from his biography and work.
Bozhinov is one of the Bulgarian artists who often participates in the prestigious exhibitions and biennales organized in Venice. In his memoirs, the talent often talks about his admiration for the masterpieces of Venetian art, as well as the effect that Venice had on him.
The monograph is the work of a scientific team that implemented the project “Between the tragic and the comic – Alexander Bozhinov (caricaturist, military photographer and writer)” of the National Institute of Scientific Research under contract KP-06-Н-40/2 dated 10.12. 2019. A meeting with students is also forthcoming.
