In the agreement, billions have also been set aside for Israel and Palestine. But the aid package can be stopped in the next round.

The vote on the aid package is underway in the US Senate on Sunday evening.
Now, however, it is clear that the $95 billion aid package for Ukraine, Taiwan and Israel has enough support in the Senate for it to be passed, according to the Reuters news agency.
In the aid package, 60 billion will be set aside for Ukraine and 14 billion for Israel. In addition, money has been set aside for humanitarian emergency aid in Gaza and the West Bank, and Taiwan.

The Democrats have a narrow majority in the Senate with 51 senators against the Republicans’ 49.
But the final decision on the package is not expected until next week, writes CNN.
When the Senate has made its final decision, the package must be approved in the House of Representatives. The Republicans have a majority there.
Senator Ted Cruz (R) has stated that he does not believe the House of Representatives will approve the aid package.
Donald Trump has previously asked his supporters in the House to reject the agreement.
Senator Ted Cruz explained the opposition in the House as follows in an interview with VG.
– Because the House will not give increased support to Ukraine without much stronger measures to secure America’s southern border. Then Democrats have to ask themselves: Are they more concerned with securing Ukraine than maintaining their policy of open borders, which the Biden administration has implemented? Because if the Democrats don’t do more to secure our border, then this aid package (for Ukraine, journ.am.) will not pass.
