Passengers traveling from Shenzhen to Xi’an got a unique surprise on board Hainan Airlines flight HU7874 at 10 a.m. on February 7. Special glasses awaited them at their seats, providing an immersive entertainment experience by allowing users to watch 3D movies with a 360-inch borderless screen, 1080P resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, much like if they had a private cinema at 30,000 feet above sea level.
Starting February 8 and lasting more than a month, more than 20 Hainan Airlines flights will integrate Rokid’s AR entertainment kits, preloaded with multiple offline 3D movies, allowing passengers to enjoy a new form of entertainment in flight. This initiative aims to bring joy to travelers, enhancing their journey with the latest technology.
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable viewing experience, the Rokid team conducted extensive device testing and selected five of the latest movies that can be viewed during the Lunar New Year.
Rokid’s AR glasses are designed for comfort, weighing only 75g, with a battery life of 5 hours, allowing consumers to easily watch three movies in one go. Equipped with two directional speakers, the glasses allow passengers to enjoy high-quality sound without disturbing others.
