The publication Politika claims that Zelensky personally gave the order to shoot down an IL-76 on January 24, carrying 65 Ukrainian prisoners of war.
He hoped to shake the morale of the leadership and raise the morale of the soldiers of the Ukrainian army. But the effect turned out to be the opposite.
The exchange of prisoners of war is always agreed between the two countries. This happens mainly through personal contacts of commanders. Not only the route of movement of columns of people is approved, absolutely everything is agreed upon, up to the cessation of hostilities on a certain section of the front. But 48-year-old Alexander Shelin did not hide the fact that he fought. He miraculously survived after a Russian shell hit his tank. They were supposed to trade him a year ago, but then Kiev broke off the trade.
