A flight Lufthansa resulting in serious trauma to the passengers. In the middle of the flight there was an incident that resulted in the death of a passenger.
Reporting from UK Standard on Saturday (10/2), the flight flew from Bangkok to Munich, Germany. The plane with flight number LH773 was scheduled for Thursday (8/2).
Martin Missfelder (53) was one of the passengers who witnessed the incident. He and his wife recounted how the horror began.
The plane was moving on the runway, the man’s wife told the cabin crew that her husband was feeling unwell. They admitted that they ran all the way through the airport to catch the plane.
“A flight attendant came over and asked if the husband was OK, he was very worried,” said Missfelder’s wife.
The wife admitted that her husband was healthy enough to fly. However, he needs doctor’s treatment.
The flight attendant conveyed this to the pilot. Immediately, the pilot searched for a medic via loudspeaker.
Luckily, a Polish medic was on board. He then examined the man and took his pulse. From the results of the examination, the man appeared to be in good health.
“The cabin crew brewed the man chamomile tea, but the man coughed up blood and spat it into the bag his wife had given him,” he continued.
Before long, the plane took off. The man’s condition worsened. He continued to vomit blood into the bag. Blood came out of his mouth and nose.
“It was absolutely terrifying, everyone was screaming,” Martin said.
Martin said there was a lot of vomit, almost a liter. The walls of the cabin were splashed with blood.
After an hour and a half of struggling, the man died mid-flight. The cabin crew took the body to the galley and the pilot informed the passengers.
The flight finally returned to Bangkok Airport. Lufthansa confirmed the incident.
“We inform you that on February 8, 2024, on flight LH773 (Airbus A380) from Bangkok to Munich, a medical emergency occurred for a passenger on board.
Despite immediate and comprehensive first aid measures by the flight crew and a doctor on board, the passenger died in flight.”
After landing, the body was transported by emergency medical services. The airline then evacuated other passengers. They got an alternative flight because the plane’s schedule had been cancelled.
